Before the fall came into full swing over what seemed like a single day Georgetown was beautiful and the leaves were beginning to change but still with a warm twist about the air. I can not believe this this is going to be my first real Fall to live through in my entire life. I grew up between Miami and Los Angeles so there was no changing colors of the leaves or cold in the air and pumpkin spice lattes were only for show and some fun. I am already all stocked up with fuzzy socks and a brand new Moncler coat to wear when the weather hits, I even got a little Moncler ear covering headband to match my coat because just the coat was not nearly E X T R A enough for moi. Anyhow, it’s not quite the Fall season yet so it is my last chance to wear some of the beautiful spring/summer dresses I purchased towards the end of the season before it is too late. On this day in particular I threw on a polka dot little wrap dress (wrap dresses have become my absolute favorite at college as they are chic and yet so so easy) and some matching blank white accessories to go out for a stroll and an acai bowl with a friend. Until the cold comes enjoy your dresses and flats for as long as you can my loves, because Winter Is Coming (I just started watching GOT, sorry).
Let’s talk DOTS, POLKA DOTS! I feel as though polka dots are a highly underrated print and should be honored with their own little section in this blog post. Polka dots are often associated with things such as Minnie Mouse and party hats but polka dots seriously have so much more to offer us than just childhood nostalgia. The dots are making a huge comeback in recent seasons and the print has been showing up in every important fashion house (que Balenciaga). It is safe to say that polka dots have risen again to their prime and are being worn by the fashion elite alike so look out for even more to come when the 2018 Spring/Summer collections come out, this will be the print to have! I wore this polka dot printed wrap dress from Reformation with some accessories I recently picked up from Mansur Gavriel via Net-A-Porter. I got the shoes so I obviously needed the matching handbag right, #logic. I adore how pristinely white the accessories are they give such a chic vibe and go perfectly with my little frock. Add on an Are You Am I choker, some stud earrings, a couple of rings and a berry lip and I was all ready to head out the door for a lovely Indian Summer daze.
