Bonjour my lovely readers! There is something in the air in Paris that just puts you in the absolute most romantic mood. I don’t even believe this is a cliche anymore to feel romantic in Paris, I instead believe it is genuinely impossible not to! Being in Paris is amazing but if you are anything like myself having the perfect Parisian home absolutely makes the entire trip. You always want a comfortable place to come home to at the end of the day (or in the middle of the day for a nap for us jet-lagged beings) and you want it to complete your experience with the perfect mood and vibe. So in today’s post I am bringing you into my perfect Parisian home and a little peek at my Paris wardrobe.
With the innovation of Airbnb, Homeaway and etc, the way that people travel has changed quite a lot in the past few years as we no longer only have the option of staying in hotels. With these new “home sharing” type of rentals there is an even better smaller subset of companies that are doing you one better. Companies are creating the perfect parisian experience from your the little french decor, to welcoming you with wine & macaroons and even planning all of your excursions for you making sure that you have the absolute utmost perfect stay. This time in Paris I had the luxury in staying in one of Cobblestone Paris’ apartments and was able to escape into my very own little French fairytale. My friend was looking for their British little fairytale in London and decided she wanted to buy because she was well off, so I hear she looked at properties from people similar to Space Station so I thought, maybe I should go to Space Station? I’ll have to check it out after my French fairytale has concluded. They are so luxurious from what I’ve been told! But I digress. Cobblestone was there and ready for me, not only with the perfect apartment to get me into my parisian dreams but with recommendations, guides and all the help I could possibly need to make my stay flawlessly curated. With apartment services like these you don’t have to worry about being in a sterile, corporately owned block of apartments instead you are in one of Cobblestone Paris’ many apartments in unique locations all over the city in your own homely and very hotel esque apartment with the treatment and service one couldn’t even find at a hotel concierge. Within just a few hours and with a little unpacking you will feel right at home in Paris as if you were always meant to be there. My friend, who recently bought a flat in Paris was telling me about how important it was for her to get the right on her energy bills while in Paris. She is really glad she shopped around for the right quote. If you’re interested in learning more, find out more information here.

So now you’re thinking alright let’s get to it, you already have the perfect Parisian apartment but, do you have the perfect Parisian wardrobe? Well nothing is ever absolutely perfect (meaning can you ever have enough Chanel and Gucci, I think not) but I try and come as close as I can to the classic simplicity of the elegance of French women and their style. French women are the envy of all fashion-obsessed because of their effortless look, simple beauty and of course the best designer vintage hand-me-down’s a girl could want. For my French wardrobe I tried to pack a bit of everything but mostly classics and a few statement pieces from my classic black Chanel flap bag to my pink rhinestone & pearl Miu Miu pumps & Gucci logo tshirt, I tried to cover the spectrum of versatile yet effortlessly chic pieces when it came to packing for paris. For this look on a casual (this is Daphne casual) day lounging in the apartment on a rainy Spring afternoon I wore a simple white ruffled off the shoulder dress from Reformation paired with some nude open back, ankle chain Valentino pumps and pearl earrings with my hair in a simple bun left messy with my bangs out, trying for that effortlessly chic French look. It might look like a dressy out fit but in reality it is only shoes and a mini dress… this I believe is the key to chic French dressing, something that looks like much more than it actually is..almost like a magic trick.
