Okedoki blog lovers! I hate to be apologizing for absence two posts in a row but this time I have just as valid of a reason, I’m sick :( With blogging as a job you never really do get a break, it’s not like a normal job where you have days off to relax and do whatever you want. On your days off you’re supposed to blog and show your readers just what you do on a “day off” or on a holiday share all of your cute outfits and adventures with friends. That is why if you are gonna start a blog where you post daily for your readers you have to truly love.. Love.. LOVE what you do. And I truly do LOVE sharing my passions here on To Style, With Love with all of you beautiful readers and fellow fashion lovers. However, sometimes your incredibly sick and jet lagged and literally unable to finish a blog post for your life. I’ve been trying to get this post out to you for a solid week but either was coughing myself to death or passing out from all the faux “non-drowsy” meds i’m on trying to get a better. So this week I am going to share all of my Copenhagen content with you all now that I am home and starting to feel a lot better. I have so many amazing stories, scandinavian inspired looks and new city finds that I want to share with you and I hope you do enjoy in re-indulging in my little mini Copenhagen life with me.
On this day in the city me and my fellow American went out to explore on our own. Having been to the city a few different times I had an idea of where we should go for some good food and great shopping. We headed over to Cafe Victor for some late brunch which is now one of my absolute favorite spots for lunch in Copenhagen, if you are a carnivore like me you must try the “Lunch Steak” the sauteed mushrooms in a light cream sauce paired with the filet and some beautiful frites were to die for (I’m actually salivating just thinking about it). Aaannnddd being an all around legal adult in Denmark is fun too because it means that brunch FINALLY comes with a bottle of Champagne! No more sparkling cider for us lil babies!
I went for a sporty look out today as I knew we were going to be walking and with the recent re-trending of Adidas I knew I couldn’t go wrong with my sporty spice look. Sportswear is very reminiscent in a more minimalistic and simple style so I thought the mix of a monochromatic palette, as I mentioned in my last post, would work perfectly with the simplistic Scandinavian style of Copenhagen.
I am currently obsessed with jogging bottoms, as you may or may not have noticed based on the name of this post lol. Track pants, jogging bottoms.. whatever you want to call them and no I do NOT mean sweat pants. I mean jogging bottoms. The difference is not necessarily if there is a draw string or a zipper its all about the material and the style of the pant. Just because the pant looks more casual and comfy does not mean that it has to be worn only in the secret comfortability of your own home when no one is looking. You can style your jogging bottoms in literally a million different ways as I did here today with a white zipper semi crop top, vintage denim jacket and chanel cross body. I took this look from day to night by simply swapping out my sneakers for black pointedtoe pumps and my jacket from denim to a sharp blazer. Voila it’s as simple as that. This look finally proved to me that being chic does not have to be difficult or uncomfortable.
