Well everyone it’s a little less than a month until festival season really kicks off and we all head to the desert for some groovy tunes and of course to go all out on our festival fashions that we don’t get to wear the rest of the year.
Festivals are always a fantastic opportunity to let your hair down and dance the night away with your family and friends. A friend of mine is actually in charge of a lot of the behind the scenes goings-on at a major festival so I love to hear all about what really goes into organizing these huge events. For example, my friend told me that this year she has the unique task of negotiating toilet hire prices! Portable toilets are essential for any outdoor event after all. I have been quite lucky in the past, and have always paid a little extra to use the VIP toilets at the festivals that I have been to. Needless to say, I will be doing the same this year!
Anyway, this year I am bringing to you a project I am having so much fun working on and…. drum roll please… it’s my Festival Lookbook! 5 whole outfits dedicated to festival style to give you lovely readers some inspiration and get you jazzed for the upcoming season! So today I thought that I would put out a little teaser and show you all the first look from the Festival Lookbook before it comes out later on this week.
I paired these very cute (very slimming ;) and actually quite practical flare overalls with a 70s vibe from LuLu’s.com with a trusted cropped blouse from Reformation. And don’t worry about the fact that it is long sleeves because this shirt feels the wind and billows like a pirate’s blouse in a romance novel. Obviously the desert isn’t the best place for heels so I paired this look with my favorite metallic Acne Studios Sneakers, my Celine crossbody trio bag to hold all of my festival essentials and some new sunnies from Supermarket to keep the sun out of my eyes while the sun is out! So, what do you all think of my first festival look? I hope this got you excited, because there is so much more to come!
Sneakers: Acne Studios
A special thanks to LuLu’s for the oh so groovy overalls!
