Hello my loves, I am back today with my last post from my travels in France unfortunately. I have had the most amazing time roaming the vast nooks and crannies of the French countryside with my love and on this day we had the pleasure of visiting the most majestic castle called Château de La Rochefoucauld. We had the chance to stroll in and around the castle and of course pretend to be as French as possible. The little charming town of Rochefoucauld had a million and one little stores to pop in to and even has it’s very own chocolate factory, which I of course ordered a box of chocolate in my broken French. We took the time to take a tour of the castle and learn about the rich history that the gorgeous town had to offer. After a quick lunch of baguettes and cheese, DUH, we headed back to Empure for a jetlagged nap and spending some time curled up by the fire with coffee and tea. The absolute perfect type of day if you ask me.
As we round this season where it is no longer Summer but the full swing of Fall has not hit us yet this is the perfect time to whip out a trench coat. I have been a fan of the English fan fair since I was a little bitty girl I dreamed of having a perfect trench coat. I guess you can say that dreams really do come true as I now am the proud owner of a gorgeous classic trench coat. I think that they are perfect for this sort of inbetween season as the color khaki knows no season and has no bounds. I paired my trench coat with my favorite, favorite, favorite printed dress in GINGHAM! You all know if you follow this blog (which thank you for btw <3 ) that I am obsessed with the print gingham and I will not only be wearing it in the summer, you try and stop me from getting gingham-ed out all year round. Then I paired the cut out dress and trench coat with my essential gold Gucci loafers and classic black Chanel flap bag. Last but not least I add my most worn sunglasses, the Acne studios mustangs and I was ready for a day of French filled fun!
