As I just got home from Denmark and I am setting sail again across the pond in two weeks I needed a real dose of home this week. I needed to feel my California roots and breathe in the city that I call home. It’s times like these when I miss California so much that I pop onto sites like https://reali.com/california-real-estate/ to check out their real estate listings… a girl can dream (and prepare for the future). Of course, I don’t even have to look into purchasing a house. If I just wanted to live in California for a short time, I could always consider renting an apartment instead. That would give me my own space, whilst also allowing me to move again in the future. I’ve seen some of the apartments that Admirals Cove have on offer, and they look really nice. Maybe I’ll look into them at some point. Hopefully, I’ll return here one day. Obviously, these desires led me to the beach as it doesn’t get much for “California Dreamin” than that. I always head to the beach whether it’s for a drive, stroll or laying out in the sun the beach is always my go to when I need to clear my head. It reminds me of fond memories and a nostalgic feeling that one associates with home. California Dreamin is a saying for a reason, you could debate the meaning but for me I think it is all about the dreams that California inspires in people myself included. In collaboration with Lucky Brand and Zappos.com I made a short video in dedication to my home, California and all of the dreams that it inspires.

My city inspires me everyday with all of the things around me and we’re so lucky that we get to be California Dreamin. We are just like the creators of Lucky Brand who in 1990 established their brand right here in my home state. Lucky Brand decided to make shoes for free-thinkers, artists, dreamers, times you want to dance, run, jump, play and rock n’ roll. They made shoes for that perfect California Dream. And their shoes fit into my socal lifestyle perfectly. Not only can I get a comfortable heeled bootie that’s works for day and night but they are also incredibly stylish. They truly embody the free-spirited vibe of California using inspiration from the cities around them and the brand’s deep rooted Cali heritage. To make things even easier, even more care-free and simple Lucky Brand is available on my favorite online store, Zappos.com. As soon as I decided I wanted to have a little beach rendezvous I hopped on Zappos.com, found two perfect pairs of shoes, and ordered them up just like that. The next day I WAS AT THE BEACH! All thanks to Zappos quick and easy shipping, customer service and amazing return policies (just in case anything doesn’t work out). We are living the California Dream.
