So as I’ve noted in the past few posts, I haven’t been in the best of health recently and therefor not been able to keep up with my blog as much as I would like to. I am finally feeling a lot better aka fully recovered which means that it was time to FINALLY celebrate my birthday! Just in case you didn’t know I ended up spending my 19th birthday in the hospital. My friends came to visit with flowers, cupcakes and balloons and my mom brought all my birthday presents to the hospital room. But, as you can imagine any birthday spent in the hospital is not the most pleasant. Even though I have to admit that some of the presents were nice. One of my friends told me that she wanted to get me a Put Your Photo on Wallet present but decided to get me something else, doesn’t really matter thouh. Seeing as I was groggy from fluids, drugs and antibiotics and in quite a bit of pain most of the time, I accepted my sort of pathetic little birthday for what it was and had a laugh that I was in these circumstances on my birthday of all times. I also knew that my little birthday shindig had been rescheduled originally for the next week however, I was in the hospital a little longer than expected so it had to be moved once again!
Ok enough of the blehhhh kinda stuff! For my birthday I wanted nothing more than a super girly, super fun, super pink slumber party at a pink hotel..particularly The Hotel Bel Air. The hotel is the perfect serene little getaway hidden in the back of Bel Air where we had our own little bungalow to play dress up, sip pink fizzy drinks, take a dip in the hot tub, do facemasks, order wayyyyy too much room service and of course wear matching pink striped pajamas. On the guestlist were my three best friends and for the first half of the night my original best friend, my Mommy! The next morning was spent having brunch, lounging by the pool and an aromatherapy massage that I desperately needed. It was everything I wanted and more. Just a tranquil and obnoxious little birthday with my loved ones where I got to be a literal princess. I have now decided that no outfit is complete without a crown.
