Hello there my loves of the internet. I am back with more installments of my travel diary for you all here today! As you may or may not know I have been home for a while now but have had content overload from my 6 weeks that I spent in Europe this summer. So with today’s post I am coming to you from Los Angeles with one of my looks and diary entries from my time spent in London a few weeks ago. On the first day that my love and I spent this time around in London Town we took a stroll across the street from our hotel in Chelsea to spend some time in the museums. Right down from our hotel was both the Victoria and Albert Museum and also the Natural History Museum so we made sure to pop into both as going to see art and other museums is one of our absolute favorite past times. From viewing dinosaur bones and the new Balenciaga art exhibit we popped on over one black cab car ride to my favorite of favorite places in London. The one and the only SELFRIDGES! I simply can never visit selfridges too many times while I am in London. Selfridges has an endless array of sections, pieces to view and even restaurants to wine & dine in. It literally has everything that one could possibly need all in one place wrapped up with a beautiful yellow bow. I was even able to stop in the salon there and grab a blow out, Obviously with stops in as many departments as I could. If Selfridges had a hotel in it I would stay forever. From there we went off to grab some dinner at Nobu London and our eventful first day in London was done and back to the hotel we popped.
Now for the reason you came here haha…my look. I had seen this brilliant idea on one of my fashion inspirations, Patricia Manfield, many years ago at some fashion week and I had never played it out myself. I recently picked up this Acne Studios shirt dress at a sample sale in New York and specifically remembered this idea that I had once seen and from then on it was written in the stars. I packed this look while planning my outfits for my travels specifically to wear in London when I knew I would be worn out from weeks of travel and wanting something effortless and very planned ahead. I paired my oversized and a bit long white shirt dress with my go-to staple denim mini skirt by GRLFRND, a brand I have come very fond of through Revolve.com. Then because that was not nearly E X T R A enough I added on my Gucci GG marmont belt to put everything and it worked as adding a Gucci belt to something always does, espeically if it’s denim you simply can’t go wrong in any way. Last but not least for the finishing touches I wore my favorite Miu Miu little pastel blue ribbon lace up whatever you wanna call them midi heels (phew that was a mouthful) and my classic Chanel flap bag then I had myself a perfect English Summer’s day outfit.
