Denmark is an amazing place to visit with so much culture and things to do, it is beautiful! I decided to visit Denmark after reading many blog posts by websites like https://lapeira.org/, which inspired me to see all the wonderful sites that this place has to offer and it did not disappoint. When I visited Copenhagen it was amazing but there are a lot more parts to Copenhagen than just simply Copenhagen, and we outsiders would have no way of knowing all the beauty and hidden treasure that there is to find without a little help. Cities are a big place and there are endless amounts of things to explore. One of the most beautiful places I visited whilst I was away in Copenhagen was Charlottenlund. The quaint little suburb of the heart of the city is only about 15 minutes out and the streets are lined with perfect white houses, floral hedges and beautiful blonde boys. We went out for a more relaxed day in Charlottenlund to meet some of Fie’s friends and relax to enjoy all of the scenery. It’s days like this that are simply perfect in every way, from the light breeze the cutest old fashioned cars you find outside of a french looking apartment building to a light rain you could dance away in. Charlottenlund was a surreal little place where you could probably walk from one end to another and feel like you were in an English country side while still being a stone’s throw away from the city itself. One of my favorite spots that we have yet to get in Los Angeles is Joe and The Juice were you can get some of the yummiest smoothies I’ve tried. Perfect for your morning pick me up and daily dose of fruits and veggies without all the hassle. Then across the street was Cafe A where we sat outside for dinner and enjoyed the cool breeze of Copenhagen at night. All the stores seemed perfectly curated and all the flowers gardened with love. Charlottenlund is exactly what you would want to picture when picturing the perfect Danish town.
For a more chill day a bit outside of the city I paired my go to mom jeans from Nasty Gal with one of my new Are You Am I tops I bought just for the trip. A trip is always the perfect excuse to pick up a few new additions for the closet, and I can’t get over the simplistic perfection of Are You Am I. I guess this look was just full of my go to pieces and that is why I felt like it worked so well because I also threw on my favorite floral Gucci slides that just never ever seem to let me down, they are both comfy and chic it is literally the perfect combination. Throw on your favorite neutral crossbody bag, my current fave being the Gucci Dionysus. Annnnddd it is Denmark so don’t forget your jacket because you WILL get a bit chilly, this one by Derek Lam 10 Crosby and being a newer edition to my closet that I had wanted for a while from Intermix and scored on the best sale ever! With all of this and my Luv AJ cross hoops I was obviously ready to run out the door and it was just as simple as that. You can never go wrong with a simple combination and I think that lesson was really proved to me this time around in Copenhagen as I studied what the locals wore. They were pairing incredibly simple pieces but managed to look so incredibly chic because of how simple and minimalistic it all truly was. I think that this is the definition of Scandinavian style, we foreigners can do our best to emulate can’t we.
