The French Market
Hello everyone! I hope that you have all had an amazing Christmas or are currently still celebrating a beautiful Hanukkah this year. It’s two days after Christmas and only a few days until the new year! These few days are tricky because you can’t quite decide if you should be getting back to work or if you can keep stuffing yourself with Christmas goodies before the new Year rings in and the classic “be healthier and get fit” resolution kicks in (ya know for January only, duh). Anyhow, I thought I would bring you a blog post from my recent
trip to france so you could pursue it while looking for inspiration for the new year.
On one of our super authentic French days we went to a morning market and bakery with my love’s mum, as she’s local she knows the best spots to go to for fresh baguettes and various pretty petite pastries. The little French town is called Chef Boutonne and I will even admit to you all here only (please don’t tell on me) my little American Girl Ignorance upon hearing the name Chef Boutonne thought it was a market put on by Chef. Boutonne. Thank goodness I never admitted this one out loud but I don’t mind sharing this with you all for a little laugh :P. We had a stroll around the town, bought some baguettes and other sweet things from the local boulangerie and even bought some roses from a little flower store, which to make up for my earlier mishap I even purchased in all the French I know. As always when it comes to my days in France, it was a perfectly picturesque day.
For this day in France as usual this Cali girl was a little lost in the chilly weather but you know what, I did my best! I paired my Are You Am I Kimia Bodysuit with trusted high rise Re Done Levi’s. Since fishnets are everything right now and I could’ve used a little extra layer of warmth I wore some Walford stockings underneath of my jeans and rolled up the cuffs to show a little lace in between my boots and denim. This is a trend I am absolutely obsessed with right now, fishnets under EVERYTHING! I got these new amazing fluffy booties by M.Gemi from my mom especially for my winter trip, she thought they could do me well and as always she was right! I am obsessed and I don’t think any further explanation is necessary, you can see exactly why. I threw my forever and ever go to staples, my ever so chic Acne Studios black shearling coat and black Chanel classic flap bag, don’t forget some choker and you are ready to roll!
I truly hope everyone had an amazing holiday and may your new year be as blessed as ever. I am so grateful for each and every one of you that comes along with me on my journey through life and my love of fashion. You all are everything and I can’t put into words how excited having every single one of you as a reader and friend makes me. Thank you for a very blessed 2016❤️🌹
