Jardins du Trocadéro
Bonjour, Ooh La La and other cute little french sayings! On this beautiful day in Paris I finally took my moment in the Jardin du Trocadero. I am sure you have seen many a blogger, insta-model or tourist alike taking photos on the stairs and in the gardens of Trocadero so it was about time that I took my moment. Believe it or not in all my times in Paris I had only walked by the Jardin as I for some reason never really approached the Eiffel Tower from that angle so on this beautiful day, in my incredibly parisian outfit, I made my way to Jardin du Trocadero for a stroll and a relaxing moment with my love. We must have hit the location at just the right time because there really were not too many people there and they gave me space to have my shining eiffel tower view of a moment. But, let’s just take a breather, a romantic sigh for that view…like that moment in Sex and The City when Carrie looks off of her hotel balcony at Plaza Athenee and jumps for glee. Imagine a view better than that, nope I thought so, you can’t. This was a very relaxing day for us with lots of food, shopping and soaking up our last days in the city. We started with brunch at The Plaza Athenee and the most luxurious pastry basket, filled the day with shopping at the likes of infamous french fashion house’s such as Balenciaga and Chanel, ended it with a restaurant that is actually older than America and has the most to die for French onion soup that you will ever find. Another picture perfect parisian day. I’m finding it hard for things not to simply be effortlessly picture perfect in Paris.
When it comes to a French style of dressing or the parisian way you may have noticed that I am a bit obsessed with the entire sartorial French psyche. Well, I personally think that with this look I have truly outdone myself in my wannabe French-girl look. A Los Angeles based French brand that I have recently become very very obsessed with is called L’ecole Des Femme by Laura Sfez. Laura has truly embodied that classic sort of old movie look such as Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face or Brigitte Bardot anytime! No where else have a found simple garments that embody the true feeling of old school Paris that you dream of other than L’ecole Des Femme. So with my obsession I obviously hit up both their online shop and boutique on Beverly Blvd with many outfits for my trip. For my look today I am wearing this French Maid inspired little dress full with a lacey white ruffle at the top and three oversized buttons down to the waist. I took a cue from Laura and styled my dress with classic black pumps, a black Chanel flap bag and of course….D U H…. a beret! Last but not least because it was not extra enough I threw on my little Lioness pink-beige faux fur jacket (honestly unnecessary…it was hot, but hey it made the look)! All it takes is a little inspiration and you can style up the perfect look in just a few quick leaps.
