Cheetah Girl(s) | The Leopard Print Trend
Oh yes my lovely readers…we’re cheetah girls, cheetah sistas! My mother has always been a fan of animal print, especially cheetah and leopard prints. Our entire house was decorated by her and there are hints and tones of jungle cats all over the place. Well, you know what they say if you stick with something long enough it will come in and out of style many many times over and leopard print is back, bigger and bolder than ever! As you may have noticed your favorite bloggers (aka me duh :P) street style stars, models, celebrities, editors, fashion forward friends, you name it they have been sporting some leopard print in recent days. Leopard print has come and gone but I think it has come back with a fierceness similar to that of my beloved Cheetah Girls, que the music. Cuz we are sisters..we stand together…we make up one big family though we don’t look the same…our spots are different, different colors…we make each other stronger that aint ever gonna change cuz we’re cheetah girls, cheetah sisters! I’m so sorry I do tend to go off and burst into song but that is a song worth singing! It takes me back to younger days going to a Hannah Montana and Cheetah Girls concert sporting my best leopard print top with a pink satin bow belt at the waist from the likes of Limited Too! If a trend can bring me right back to that, playing dress up in cheetah print attire and dancing with my momma I am ALL in!
In my Cheetah Girls inspired look today I paired this leopard print sheer esque blouse from Intermix’s exclusive collection with a wrap skirt from Zara detailed will bullrings and sassy ties. For a special splash of color on a cold winter’s day I wore my new thigh high burgundy, or bordeaux if you will, velvet thigh hiiiiiighhhhhhhhh boots. Lastly because one cheetah print item was not enough to make me a true cheetah girl I added this faux fur cheetah print coat from ASOS and because its me and i’m EXTRA EXTRA I grabbed some oversized pearl earrings and a world finest Gucci bag of course! Ok, so I am dying to know….how are you going to try out this trend and work some leopard into your life! Make sure and leave me a comment below telling me what you think of the Cheetah Girl trend and whether or not it’s a yes from you!
