An Afternoon At The Getty
Living in a city there is an endless amount of things to do in one’s afternoon but there are not many quite as beautiful, aesthetically pleasing or cultural as The Getty Center. The Getty is one of my favorite places to visit in Los Angeles, for those of you that don’t know the museum sits upon a hill in Brentwood with views as far as the eye can see and deep into the blue of the pacific ocean. Not only is it a place for viewing art exhibits and artifacts it is also a place for picnics on a sunday afternoon (or any day really in this sunny winter weather). The landscape is vast and every corner has some sort of structural piece that ties the property together as a whole. Upon my most recent impromptu visit to The Getty one sunny afternoon I ended up wearing an ensemble that matched the buildings a little too well. I paired my Storets layered white oversized cuff blouse with a white denim button down skirt from T by Alexander Wang. Set in my idea of a more or less monochromatic look I added my Gucci GG monogram belt to break up the whites in the look so as not to look too sterile. Since Gucci was brought into the game obviously I needed a tad more in my look and I wore my gold Gucci mid heel loafers that are incredibly comfortable, trust me on this one I have walked miles in them all over the world! Last but not least some simple essentials to complete my look I grabbed my nude Celine trio crossbody bag and round gold raybans, you can never go wrong when it comes to accessories and you use your simple yet elegant essentials.
